The role of Operations Associate in Information Security, focuses on supporting the company’s commitment to security and access management. The job involves evaluating access requests, managing access controls for internal and external tools, and ensuring compliance with security policies. Here’s a breakdown of the key responsibilities and requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Help demonstrate the company’s dedication to security internally.
  • Evaluate and manage access requests while upholding access control principles.
  • Assess and suggest improvements to access management tools and processes, including fixing excessive permissions issues.
  • Maintain and contribute to standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to data access, ensuring they align with security policies.
  • Understand the technical requirements for managing access to custom-built tools.
  • Communicate security policies clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Assist with the day-to-day activities, ensuring policy and risk management compliance.
  • Coordinate with a globally distributed team and join an on-call rotation for urgent requests.
  • Provide Tier 1 support for security, policy, risk, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Strong banking background
  • Strong interest in information security and the mission to protect its users.
  • Basic understanding of security concepts and principles.
  • Hands-on experience in managing access provisioning.
  • Familiarity with creating and following Standard Operational Procedures.
  • Ability to prioritize and fulfill requests efficiently while focusing on quality.
  • Understanding of automation with a proactive approach to implementing it in workflows.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for cross-level collaboration.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Experience with gathering and analyzing data.
