Our global technology client is looking for an Web Content Strategist/Instructional Designer. This ia hybrid position. You must already. be located in Cupertino, CA or Austin, Texas. This is an Interdisciplinary role that bridges design, media production, storytelling, and project management. Primary responsibility will be to help reorganize and scale our internal organizational website fostering and maintaining a cohesive visual identity and web design across the organization’s digital landscape including graphic designs for webpages.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with subject matter experts to understand functionality and content needs to conceptualize creative ideas.
  • Design visual imagery ensuring that they are in line with the customer’s brand.
  • Craft, edit, and proofread content, issuing approvals per established workflows.
  • Ability to communicate design ideas using user flows, process flows, site maps, and wireframes.
  • Manage projects in an organized, clear, and engaging manner and create timeframes and work schedules to meet deadlines.
  • Create site layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS/PHP/JAVA practices including mock-ups for vetting and user testing.
  • Apply design thinking and instructional design methodology to the creation of new and existing content.
  • Conduct ongoing website inventory analysis to ensure content remains current.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and external vendors to address user issues, monitor site security, resolve technical issues, and implement upgrades.
  • Assist with drafting content and messaging for a range of internal communication channels including employee newsletters, videos, and Keynote presentations with topics ranging from employee initiatives, process changes, and new tools.
  • Measure messaging effectiveness to guide future strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with online ADA accessibility standards and implement necessary improvements.

Key Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in web development and design.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
  • Strong pre-visualization skills (e.g. wireframes, motion theory) and skills executing in digital mediums (web, video).
  • Proficient in graphic design software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and other visual design tools.
  • Perform a broad variety of tasks at a variety of levels, from the simplest to strategic.
  • Excellent planning, organization, and implementation skills with ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Passion for strengthening corporate culture, productivity, and building community.
  • Strong leadership with emphasis on collaboration, proactive, flexible, can-do attitude.
  • Relentless curiosity and a passion for using storytelling to create experiences.
  • Aptitude for influencing others and getting people on board with an idea or direction.
  • Passion for graphic design with experience in the Adobe Cloud suite.
  • Video creation including scripting, shooting, editing.
  • Comfort in working with websites & content management systems, Javascript is a plus.
  • Experience in a corporate environment.

The target hiring compensation range for this role is $65.87 to $73.19 an hour for Cupertino, CA and the target range for the role is  $60.00- $67.50HR in Austin, TX. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
