Our client specialises in innovative home tech, hair care and beauty. As a rapidly growing company, our client is expanding its presence across categories, locations, and teams. The focus is on accelerating their impact in the media space across the Benelux region. The media team collaborates closely with various departments to exceed business objectives.

About the Role:
In this role, you’ll take charge of both paid and owned social channels, serving as the primary contact for crafting, launching, and amplifying locally relevant content through key publishers in the Netherlands and Belgium. As the Social Manager, Benelux, you play a pivotal role in developing the social channel into a crucial digital touchpoint for both owners and shoppers. Collaborating closely with the Media, Category, Communications, and Regional EMEA Social teams, you will be a driving force in creating and implementing a top-notch Social Media strategy. 



Social Media Strategy and Community Building  

  • Develop and execute impactful and innovative social media strategy and tactics to expand local social presence  

  • Set and monitor goals to increase brand awareness and engagement in the Dutch and Belgian market  

  • Own, manage and evolve Benelux’s owned social content media calendar  

  • Manage paid social linking performance to key business and e-com KPI’s across the funnel  

  • Constantly be on the lookout for ways to cultivate our community with shoppers, owners, encouraging advocacy and word of mouth  

  • Own our local social listening capability; brand, category / product, and event insights  Manage and improve social SEO  

  • Deliver regular reports on the performance, optimizations, test & learn activities of our social media presence across paid and owned  

  • Share best practice on social and broader digital trends  

  • Manage the clients local Instagram accounts  

  • Open a TikTok account for our client

Fit For Purpose content that drives relevancy and engagement  

  • Create necessary fit for purpose content (through UGC, branded and influencer content)  

  • Be the key contact for all branded content, creating an annual roadmap, managing, executing, and analysing success of campaigns  

  • Provide insights to global and regional teams to inform creative and develop content to deliver value and engagement to the clients community 

  • Work closely with web and media to optimise performance and user journeys 

External Relationships Management and collaboration across departments  

  • Manage the local relationship with social media networks, implementing best practices and platform innovation  

  • Work with the wider marketing, owner experience and PR teams to align on a consistent narrative  

  • Work alongside the Global Social Media team and regional leads within Centre of Excellence to understand and share best practices


About You: 

  • Enjoy creating meaningful content and possess the agility to optimise it in real-time based on data insights. 

  • Expertise in maximising each social platform, consistently exploring innovative ways to acquire and engage with current and new followers. 

  • Fearless in trying new approaches, with a commitment to sharing powerful insights gained from test and learn initiatives. 

  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, showcasing proficient time management skills, and the ability to prioritise and multitask effectively amidst shifting priorities.



  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in leading social media and community management within beauty 

  • Experience in creating content, either personally or professionally 

  • Previous experience managing and moderating a sizeable social media community  

  • Proven experience in managing social media planning and listening tools, ideally Sprinklr  

  • Experience working with TikTok, TikTok business manager, Instagram, Meta business manager

  • Excellent command of both English and Dutch language is a must, French is beneficial
