Giles is a Project Manager at a Digital Marketing Agency and an Aquent Talent in France. He recently took our Aquent Gymnasium course on UX Fundamentals, so we interviewed him on what he thought of the course and how he plans to use it to develop his career.
WHY DID YOU DECIDE TO TAKE THE UX FUNDAMENTAL COURSE?
For several reasons:
• To get to know UX in more depth
• To be able to work better with the web development and creative teams by understanding their daily challenges and tasks
• To understand the good practices and methodologies of UX
It is very important for me as a project manager to understand the UX process and methods for the projects that I manage.
WHAT DID YOU LEARN?
The course helped me to think about UX projects in a different way. It was a reminder of all the basics and I learnt a lot of practical skills. I made a guideline sheet, which I use every time I start a new UX project. Everything was very clearly explained and the teacher was great.
WILL YOU ADD THIS COURSE TO YOUR CV?
I got 80% on the final exam, which means I did not qualify for the certified status (for which you need 85%), but I intend to put it on my CV and Linkedin.
HOW WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE THE COURSE IMPROVED?
This course covers all the basics of the UX, but it would be good for there to be additional courses in which you can further explore certain areas: Personas, Workflows, User Journeys.
