“There are more opportunities for women looking to re-enter the workforce and/or find flexible employment solutions than ever before. The biggest thing in their way is their fears,” said Nancy Collamer, founder of Jobsandmoms.com. Collamer just released a “Back-to-Work Toolkit” that addresses the challenges and provides solutions for professional-level “comeback moms” looking to return to work. “Women have to start by understanding their options in order to overcome their fears about re-entering the workforce. I've referred many clients to Aquent. Aquent’s interim staffing and temp-to-perm model provides a perfect opportunity for most women looking to re-enter the workforce.”

Business schools are also talking about how interim staffing firms provide a great opportunity for women re-entering the workforce to increase their skill sets, get their foot in the door of large Fortune 500 companies, and/or achieve a work-life balance.

“Counselors in Darden’s Alumni Career Services office have worked with dozens of women who are facing or have faced the ‘re-entry’ struggle,” said Connie Dato English, co-director of Alumni Career Services, Darden Graduate School of Business Administration. With 35 percent of female MBA graduates planning to re-enter the workforce after a hiatus, Darden developed the “Re-entering the Workforce” workshops to provide sought-after advice on how to find a suitable position and how to market oneself after an employment gap. “Aquent’s interim marketing engagements provide a terrific opportunity for women looking to sequence back into the workforce. This is one of many options we discuss in our ‘Re-entering the Workforce’ workshop in various cities throughout the year.”

Over the past several years Aquent has been successful in deploying women who are looking to re-enter the workforce after opting out to raise a family or who are looking for a flexible employment solution as they start a family. Aquent provides a variety of flexible options including
